The Department of Islamic Law is meant to achieve excellence in Islamic law education, research, and problem-solving for the betterment of individuals and societies in the contemporary world. It aims to produce students who are committed to the advancement of knowledge in the field of Islamic law through critical scholarship in the context of Islamic ethics and values. The knowledge so acquired should substantially enhance their prospect of gaining employment in various capacities such as academics and Islamic law professionals in other work areas where the ability to apply and advise upon legal issues is required.
