Muhammad Kamaldeen Imam-Tamim holds an LL.B degree in Common and Islamic Law from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin-Nigeria, an LLM degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and a Ph.D. degree in Law from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Islamic Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, Ilorin. He is an Alumnus of the Harvard Law School Institute for Global Law and Policy (IGLP), and a member of the Commission on Legal Pluralism, and the Comparative Law Society of Nigeria among other professional national and international organizations. He teaches courses such as Islamic Family Law, and Law Research Methodology both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research interests lie in Islamic laws. He also has interests in the application of Islamic law in science and technology particularly in Islamic medical law and ethics and Islamic law and data privacy. He has published several academic journal articles and book chapters.
