Kawthar Ayomipo Hamzat-Umar is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Islamic Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State. A graduate of the University of Ilorin (undergraduate and postgraduate) with my highest qualification being a Master of Law. I started my career with Welfare Microfinance Bank Ltd, a microfinance institution running an Islamic banking model. My stay there broadened my knowledge of the practice of Islamic banking, and this inspired me to pursue a career in academics in other to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and make a positive impact on individuals and society in general.
