Prof. A. A. Alaro, mni, FIFP, FCPA, M.IoD, MCIArb, CIAE is a Professor of Law, Shariah Consultant, and internationally certified arbitrator. He had his LL.B with First Class in 1993, and LL.M and Ph.D. with distinctions, specializing in Islamic Law of Banking, Insurance, and Capital Market, and has published in reputable journals across the world. In 2021, he delivered the 196th Inaugural Lecture of the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, the first by a Professor of Islamic Law of Banking and Finance in the entire West Africa. Prof. Alaro is an advisor/consultant to the Central Bank of Nigeria, the National Insurance Commission, the Debt Management Office, the Securities & Exchange Commission, and the National Pension Commission, among others. He has also been invited to speak in many high-impact forums in different parts of the world. In 2023, He won the “Most Outstanding Alumnus in Intellectual Impact” award, from the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
